Welcome to the 16ft Skiffs homepage
Images used on these pages are largely (if not completely) supplied by Ron Notter. The 16ft Skiffs Upper Harbour Championships has been won by Gerard Smith and Crew on Bob Jane T-Marts Edgecliffe. The DSC crews performed well and managed a virtual Team Handicap win taking the top 4 places. Peter McSullea & crew sailing Two Schooners and a Middy won the Handicap followed by Garry Wills on Srixon 2nd, Frank Maloney sailing Express Boat Covers 3rd and Sandor Tornai sailing Port Jackson Marine 4th. Great work boys. ___________________________________________
The 16ft Skiffs at Drummoyne have long been an institution and in recent years the numbers have been slowly growing. Saturdays during the racing season, there is always activity on the waterfront as they prepare for the days racing and if you are an avid follower, there is no better place to be other than the sailing club deck having lunch, watching the preparations and of course the racing.
The Season 2007/2008 commences on Saturday September 8th. Check the Calendar for the race dates and other events including the Upper Harbour Championship sailed off Drummoyne. The 16ft Skiffs are seeking Volunteers to help with the crewing of the Starting and Rescue Craft on a Saturday afternoon. If interested please contact Brett Pollitt on 9569 4877 (Bus) or 9713 8965 (A.H.) Cheers Brett Pollitt |
