FOR INFO ON 'LEARN TO SAIL' EMAIL NICK WARD

Welcome to Drummoyne Junior Sailing Club, a division of Drummoyne Sailing Club.

Located on Drummoyne’s Northern foreshore overlooking Sydney harbour. The juniors sail four classes of boats; Sabots, Cherubs and Lasers. All these boats compete in races, which are conducted weekly on Sundays between September and March with a Christmas break which lasts for all of January starting again in the first week of February.

Sailing is a life choice, which takes up a good percentage of Sunday’s in summer with a break for Christmas. We are a community that relies on volunteers to work together. Even if you can’t sail, you can help at the BBQ, by being on the roster or help cleaning up boats after sailing and putting them in and out of the water.

How do we work?

Basically if know how to sail you are welcome to sail in our races in your own boat after becoming a member of the club, you don’t own your own boat we have a few Club Boats that can be hired. If you are new to sailing we offer 8 week learn to sail course which teaches the basics of sailing. After completing the course (“getting into small boats”) children have the capability to sail in races.

Races start normally around 1:30pm unless the race is delayed or cancelled because of strong winds or no wind at all.

If you would like to know more information please email us. Also you are welcome to come down and see how we run things on a Sunday by coming down around 11am and enjoying the great atmosphere and joining in the fun!
