2nd Ron Cant 74 points
3rd Phillip Page 66 points

Paul was a clear winner with a final margin of 13 points. Second place was close with four yachties separated by 9 points.

This series was hard fought with the top two each sharing top results in the racing. Of the six race days, Leigh managed to win two race days to Pauls one thus managing a six point season winning margin.

Well......racing Radio Yachts can have its eventful days also....On April 27th (2008) one of the yachts went down on the start line...and as Paul Ziems said...'It was like the Titanic'...
...Paul exact words...   John Dunne's boat sank on the starting line ... it was like the Titanic. Thanks to the great effort put in by Brad Gibson who spent 45 minutes in the dinghy trawling for it and eventually retrieved it and returning it to its rightful owner a little waterlogged some small crabs in the pod but basically intact. Brad did mention the words salvage rights, with little reaction from John. A big thanks to Brad for putting in a great effort.
