Sailing Fees and Registration
Fees for the 2017/18 season are now due and payable, click here to . Click here to access the registration system.
DSC requires everyone who has sailed on more than three occasions at the Club to become a Club member and to be registered within at least one of the sailing divisions of the Club, either as a skipper/boat owner or as a crew member. Anyone who is not a financial member of the Club and properly registered to race cannot accumulate season points and will not be eligible to store a racing boat at the Club.
Club Membership: You can become a Club member by completing a membership application form which you can download here or by asking for one at the front desk. (New members will need to submit the form in person at reception along with a suitable form of identification)
Sailing Fees and Registration: The sailing registration system for 2016/17 has closed. Please return to this page prior to the 2017/18 season for further information.
By registering to sail at DSC you will also be registered with Yachting Australian by virtue of DSC being a YA affiliated club. This automatically fulfils your obligation under the Sailing Racing Rules and gives you immediate access to MySailor and the other ancillary benefits YA offers.
If you have registered with YA previously you will need the email address you originally used and your password. If you can’t remember these, not to worry. Simply follow the instructions for a new registration and your old record and all of its history will be merged with the new one. If all else fails, you can request the DSC office to perform a manual registration.
Limited Boat storage is available to regular participants of 16ft Skiff, Junior and Hartley 16 events. There is also some storage available for dinghies used as tenders by Club members.
For boats currently being stored at DSC the following process MUST be followed;
Step 1. Pay the appropriate fee using the Sailing Registration System
Step 2. Present your receipt at the main DSC office at which time you will receive a Boat Storage Agreement.
Step 3. Return the signed Boat Storage Agreement to the office at which time you will be given a sticker to affix to the transom of your boat (or some other prominent location like a dedicated trolley).
The consequence of not having this sticker visible is that the Club will assume that neither the storage fee has been paid and or that the boat is not authorised to be stored at the Club. The cut off date for debt recovery and or the removal of an unauthorised stored boat has been set at 31 December each year.
Please be aware that the Club reserves the right to move/remove any boat where a valid Boat Storage Agreement is not in place without notice.
Anyone wanting to store a boat for the first time at DSC should seek permission in the first instance from the Sailing Manager.
